Even though I don't know how you got those numbers, as you said yourself, the majority are demo racers, so what's the point on buying a license when you are restricted to demo content to have some good racing?
To be honest, that's quite optimistic. Unless the new tyre model is something ground-breaking, I really really doubt the new patch will bring that many new players. The day/night cycle is anything but something new, so unless the devs have something else cooking in the pot that we don't know about (and I highly doubt they have), LFS users count won't see a dramatic increase
Funny enough, the content issue can be easily solved by developing official mod tools. That would be great, especially track-wise. The problem of LFS is that it's not getting new users. Well, not legit ones at least. The more time it passes, the more the userbase shrinks.
To OP, you better off buying rFactor 2, it will go on sale 50% off sooner or later, that's what I'm waiting for. Alas the AI in this game is really bad, and I'm not too good to play online yet.
I have not tried any other sims, even though I'm planning on buying rFactor 2 as soon as it goes back on sale. This being said, you can join a server in like, what, 5 seconds? It is indeed incredible
Excuse me if I speak to him in Italian, but perhaps it can help sort things out.
Ciao, riesci a postare un replay preso dal multigiocatore? Hai provato a vedere magari se nei controlli l'acceleratore viene premuto fino in fondo o robe del genere?
Considering it should be "just" a multiplier, it shouldn't be hard to implement.
For fuel consumption at least. Perhaps the tyre degradation may be more complicated (or maybe it's just as easy).
But yes, meaningless pitstop should be stopped, either pit because you have to or don't pit at all
That suggests that, if you are an S2 user, for example, you'd have to pay something < 12pounds to spectate on Rockingam. And that, imo, sounds silly. Either that, or I don't know what you're trying to convey here.
Anyhow, I agree with sinanju, spectating on any track should be free, in the end, it's like watching something livestreamed.
Always glad to see some progress. I was wondering, once the new ligthning system is finished, how hard would it be to implement light beams from a car's headlights, and thus night racing (day/night cycle)?
Still, that's a poor excuse. The editor, being a great tool in the right hands, it's still limited on the tracks currently available. IMO, what's the most needed, if implementing cars takes this much time, is mod tools to create custom tracks, or even recreate real ones (I believe it's possible if it the maker doesn't profit from it).

Regarding suspensions, there used to be a program, but I think it's not available anymore. VHPA is the only tool (that I know at least) that may help with setting up a car.
Anyhow, setting up a car consists in mainly going back and forward from pits to track.
